Implementing a launch takes a huge amount of personal energy as you build something of value from the resources you have and deal with all the issues along the way. There are 3 big ways to take care of yourself during a launch so you’re 100% ready:
1. Take care of yourself with the right diet
No matter what you eat, be sure to prepare your kitchen for the busy weeks of launch. Stock up on the foods that give you good energy so you’re fueled for lots of hard work and not surviving on coffee. I’ve also used calendar reminders to make sure I take breaks for lunch and dinner and worked with a personal assistant to prep food for the week ahead.
2. Get plenty of sleep
You not only want to get enough hours but quality sleep. Spend some time setting up a good environment for rest. It helps to get worries off your mind so you’re not stressed when it’s time to snooze. Try meditations to calm your mind before bed – like these from Soul Seconds.
3. Go outside!
It’s important, when you’re launching a client to people, to actually interact with real people in the real world. There’s more to life than launching and will help you maintain perspective. Don’t stay in your office the entire launch, if you can’t take a break to go to the gym, post office or grocery store then you’re simply not ready to launch.
You have to take care of yourself during a launch. If launching burns you out and creates more stress than joy then you’ll only self sabotage and avoid growing your business.
