Don’t worry, I’m not going to attempt to recruit you into my MLM scheme here or tell you how you can make “6 figures in 6 hours” or some other bullshit.
But if you believe in setting intention and what you focus on matters, then I really want to know:
Do you like money?
Specifically, do you like money coming into your business and if the answer is “DUH, yes!” then why don’t you have systems for your money?
How do you expect to receive the money that you want to attract to your business without a process?
Recently I shared on Medium how you can dedicate a minimum of 1 hour a month to your systems, including my top 12 favorites.
5 of the 12 systems related to your business + money as follows:
- What ways do we accept money and where does that money go?
- What website domains do we own and where are they hosted and registered?
- How do we pay team members, from what account and how often?
- Who approves purchases made by the company, in what amounts, and where are receipts submitted?
- What software do we rely on, how is it billed and what is our account info?
Most entrepreneurs will not know the answers to each of these questions and, if they do, have it documented for the business.
Want to know who will have written policies and clear systems for income and expenses? Companies that are designed for growth. You’d never, never, never imagine Amazon to have confusion around these questions.
Your business needs to have financial clarity on how you accept and pay money.
All you have to do to start today is to write down your own system.
Here’s an example:
What ways do we accept money and where does that money go?
We accept credit card and debit cards through our merchant provider, checks for client payments over $5,000 and PayPal on some online products. All income is transferred to our business checking account at Chase bank.
Boom.
It literally takes 2 minutes to write it down. That’s your challenge for the week, especially if you want more income in your business.
