As an online entrepreneur, you’re in the company of some amazing people doing great work. And the circulation of the local Yellow Pages or how far a client is willing to travel no longer limits our reach.
And while the internet is a wonderful thing, it makes it difficult at times to see and understand what is happening behind the wifi curtain in other businesses.
So ask around, check out others in this industry who are doing what you aspire to do someday, those who launch products, run successful programs and have their shit together. Talk to your clients, your mentors, your coach, your friends.
How many of them are running the whole show themselves? Really, if you can find someone let me know, I’ve always wanted to meet Superman and Superwoman.
If you took a look at all the ways the right manager could help you grow your business yesterday and said “I’m not doing those things” then you must decide if it’s a chicken or an egg problem.
Is it that you don’t need support because you aren’t focused on growing your business, taking leaps or making a bigger impact? Or are you held back from the things you really want to do through your business because you don’t have the support you need?
Far be me it from me to tell you what kind of business you should be running: if you want to stay small, and that’s right for you, great. But if you’re craving a bigger impact and you dream of ways to uplevel what you bring to the world then ask yourself, ‘how can the right manager help me get there?’
What do you dream about?
• Writing a book
• Hosting a telesummit
• Speaking to more people
• Launching a small group program
• Bringing in a private client
• Marketing affiliate programs
• Hosting an event
• Finishing that info product that’s half finished
What are you called to bring? It’s those things in your unique zone of genius that no one else can create, not a VA or even a program manager.
Now, what’s holding you back?
Did you work on your dream today or did the management of your business take your time and energy until you had so little left to give you didn’t even start?
As you can see, I really don’t like b.s. And by b.s I mean blame shifting.
It’s my goal and the job of any online business manager worth her salt to know when to step in, call b.s. and help you get out of your own way. To say ‘you should not be worrying about this, I will handle it and report back to you.’
Are you ready?
Do you recognize that your business needs to be fed and nurtured if it’s going to grow into everything you envision it to be?
Do you understand that your gift may not be managing all the details and doing all the tasks necessary to accomplish your big goal?
Are you willing to work with someone who will earn your trust, gently slap you on your wrist when needed and free up your time and energy so you can bring your gifts to the world while your team fully supports the process?
Are you ready to invest in that level of support knowing that you’ll be freed up to create and market your gift and your company will grow as a result?
If you’re not ready yet then I encourage you to stick around, keep reading and start looking for areas where you are ready for support. Ask questions, talk to other entrepreneurs you admire and open yourself up to the possibility of playing a bigger game and understanding what it takes.
Be sure to download the Play a Bigger Game Business Playbook – it’s a free tool to help you begin creating the Playbook your business needs.
But if you’re ready – and truly ready none of this ‘I think so’ business but honestly ready – then you’re in the right place. As I open up my business to serve more entrepreneurs and businesses, I would love to talk with you about your goals and what systems and support you need to shift so you can accomplish those goals.
I’m sure you know by now in your own business that you don’t (and can’t) serve everyone and the same goes for me. The next step isn’t a 12-month contract or big commitment, just a conversation so we can determine together the business operations support you need.
If you’re ready to get started, let’s do it. Contact me.
